What was revealed

On May 8, tattoo artist Keith McCurdy—known as Bang Bang—shared a session with Rihanna and described the new work as “designed by her babies.” Vogue reported that the session began with a child-made drawing, while Allure and Harper’s Bazaar independently documented the reveal.

The visible tattoo is a loose cluster of black intersecting scribble lines at the back of Rihanna’s knee, extending toward the lower thigh. The reporting identifies McCurdy as the artist and presents the tattoo as newly completed—not simply a later sighting.
