Madonna's six tiny wrist initials honor her children

Six letters for six children

Madonna shared her first tattoo in December 2020: a small row of black initials, L R D M S E, on the inside of her left wrist. In her Instagram reveal reported by UPI, she credited tattoo artist East Iz and Shamrock Social Club. Each letter stands for one of her children, in order: Lourdes, Rocco, David, Mercy, Stella, and Estere. Tattoofilter's artist listing also attributes the small lettering to East.

The original wrist photo reproduced by iefimerida shows the complete row in relation to her hand and bracelets, establishing its modest scale and placement. A later wrist view published by CNA Lifestyle shows the same original initials from a different angle, above subsequent ink. The try-on design reconstructs only the six original initials.
